What a wretched wintry blast of weather we received last week in Toronto! I hope you’ve all been able to stay warm and celebrate Christmas with your loved ones.

Not really a year-in-review or a best-of-2013 set; more of a “here’s some great stuff from the past year and some other stuff” type of show. Starts deep and a on a UK vibe with Disclosure followed by Waze & Odyssey and Bicep. The house turns darker and techier with the Boderline remix of Azari&III’s underground hit, Manic before Toronto’s Arthur Oskan sets it up for a twist into techno.

I first heard the Eric Volta track at Promise’s German Sparkle Party and I couldn’t resist playing this techy groover this week. The sounds of the crowd in Berk Offset’s clunky, mechanical, techno Die Sache Mit Dem Kopher  takes me right back to the Sparkle Party head-space…After a foray into acidity, aggro, and driving tech; I wrap up with the FatBoy Slim and Riva Starr’s cheeky new-Rave underground anthem: “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat.” Sounds like: Deep House, Tech-House, Techno, & Bass
