Last week’s show offered me a welcome reprieve from the Ford Fiasco and is a grab bag of mostly House that sounds like: Moody, Tech, Dub, Electro, Filtered, Disco, UK Garage, Bass, and Filth.  Lots of fun stuff in this one!

Disclosure is one of my new favourite groups and considering the level of maturity in their songs it’s hard to believe these guys are so young! “Defeated No More,” the opener has been stuck in my head all week and I’ve been humming it daily. After some dark cheese it gets cheeky with a playful rework of Warren G’s “Regulator.”

Bouncing through the tech-house we come to the first of 2 tracks off of the Speedboats & Big Explosions and Mike Gleeson collab EP “Your Love.” Released this past October on Sonny Fodera’s Beatdown label, “Your Love” is Funky, Filtered House, built from a couple of fun classic Disco tracks.

Taking a left turn from Disco, we go in to darker and bassier territory and end up with the outrageously filthy stepper by Sweet Beat Cartel. Fair warning, I’m probably gonna play the shit outta this till the new year…
