Destro Sanchez (Kraftjerks Soundsystem & PR Crew) and I first met just after I moved to the city. My roomate/landlord at the time was running with a crew of Toronto-based electro DJs and producers called Electric Workers  who threw electro, italo, and techno jams at the now-vanished NASA club on Queen St. W.  I can recall, even back then, thinking “this dude’s got deep crates…”

Over the years we kept meeting at random intervals on dancefloors around the city. We kept in touch and finally were able to coordinate a show.  In this episode of In My Room,  Destro assumes the role of selector and takes us on a journey through his vinyl collection of 80’s electro, street beat, boogie, electrofunk, funk, and disco. After the short interview, he switches gears and goes digital to get into the sound of Chicago house, beatdown, deep house, and tech house.
