A couple of weeks ago local bass music producer and Stacked Records label boss Terror Tone submitted a mix for the Dec.19 show. My apologies for the delay in getting it archived, but hey it’s the Christmas season and that’s the way she goes sometimes eh?
Not one to be easily classified into genres, Terror Tone’s productions are probably best described as bass heavy variations on garage, house, dubstep and uk funky. This past year he founded Stacked Records, a digital record label based here in Toronto with a mission to develop, produce and distribute unique, well-produced dance music.
As TT puts it: “In a world of generic, paint by number producers and painfully stagnant music its hard to stand out in the crowd, Stacked’s intentions are to highlight those artists making an effort not only to make quality dance music but also an effort to break the norms.”
“Stacked Records had a great year with a release from a newly signed artist Room 2 and myself and you can expect more house and garage in the next year, I have a single and another E.P due out as well as some surprises in store from our regular collaborators” he adds.
His mix is full of music he’s worked on in the past year including forthcoming tracks on Stacked, some unreleased stuff, and as he says “some unfinished bits as well to spice it up.”
Terror Tone has been a long-time friend of In My Room and his tracks frequently appear on the show. It’s been a pleasure to watch him grow and evolve as an artist and this mix is a terrific snapshot of his career to date. The mix is dark and moody yet dancefloor friendly – check the cheeky Adam Freeland, Janet Jackson and the 20 Fingers – Short Dick Man remix!
He’s been working hard to develop his craft and bring forward the sounds of other Toronto-based electronic music producers and I wish him and the label much success in the new year.
If you haven’t been listening to Stacked Records and Terror Tone, you need to start taking notice.

My only complaint…his mix was 30 min and I was ready for more! The last track, a remix of PhilthKids’ “Get 2 Work” summoned DJ STUD400 and I delivered a side order of booty, ghetto-tech, Miami bass, and future-booty.
